SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are awarded by ONE of these means:

a) Highest mark in a category

b) Adjudicator's choice

c) Adjudicator's choice upon receipt of application to attend a summer camp

SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

All summer camp scholarships except Fiddle are for the Peace Garden Summer program, and are by application by the entrant and chosen by the adjudicator. The Summer Music Camp Scholarship for Fiddle, when available, would be for the Camp of the winner's choice. Applications are available from music teachers, dance teachers or festival scholarship committee chairperson, and can be downloaded from this website. The scholarship amounts very depending upon the sponsor, and may not cover the entire cost. Parents or guardians of the recipient must be prepared to pay the balance of the costs.

Applicants must be 12-19 years of age as of December 31 prior to the Festival year. Applications should be handed in to the secretary's table before the applicant's first performance.

Upon receiving the scholarship, if the recipient is unable to attend, he/she needs to inform the committee promptly. The committee will then offer the scholarship to the adjudicator's runner-up choice(s).

Note: All summer camp scholarships will only be awarded to participants from The Pas area, meaning Kelsey School Division and Opaskwayak Cree Nation school area.
